The Will of Alexander Herring

In the name of God Amen I Alexander Herring of the County above said being sick and weak but of perfect sence and memory Thanks be to Almighty God for the same and calling to mind , the uncertainty of Life and the certainty of Death that ll flesh my dye have  Then glit fitts to make this my Last will and Testament in manner and form following: First and principally I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me Trusting and relying only in themirtorious Death and p*** of my dear Lord , and Savior Jesus Christ for salvation secondly I commit my body to the earth to have Christain burial at the Derection of executors here after mentioned and as for what wordly Estate it hath pleases Almighty God to bestow upon me contray to my disact my will should be sidposed as following  making void and null al l former will or wills her by made by me and ordain my Last will and Testament.

          Item I give and bequeath unto my dear and loving son Alexander herring my now dwelling plantation containing one Hundred and Eighty nine of Land with all houses orchards fences may Easmentss with all singular the oppurtnannce therewith belonging or any *** appertaining whatsoever to be holden of him his heirs and assigned forever and also one ra Stallion sadle and vridle which is now in his possession to be holden of him and his Heirs and assigns forever, and also his choice of my tow guns to him and his Heirs forever.

          Item I give unto my dear and loving wife Margret Herring one feather and furniture to be holden of her and heirs forever.

          Item I give an bequeath unto my dear and loving daughter Caday Herring her choicse of all my beds and furniture and also my *treat post to be holden of and her heirs and to be possesed with the same Her comes to the age of sixteen years

          Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ester Wood one Shilling an no more to be paid at decease she having her part already

Item I give and bequeathe unto my Daughter Sarah Prettyman one shilling and no more to be paid at my decease she having her part already

And for the remaining part estate not giving in legacies my will is should be devided equally in **** and Quality among my son Alexander Herring my daughter Eaily Herring and my loving wife Margret Herring and to be and remain theirs and heirs and assigns forever

Lastly I do Ordain my well belovesd son Alexander Herring avoes my whole and sole executor of this my Last Will Testament to pall all just debts and to receive all what is due to me and also to  see that every articale of the last will and testament is duly performed and this is my wil land no other  more as withness my hand seal this 19th day of September 1735.
